Morgan Cemetery, l3 miles south of Kent in Platte Township in the NE1/4 Section 31, received its name as it laid near the Morgan house. It became the custom of Grandma Morgan to carry apples to grave diggers at work in the cemetery. She also made it a practice to invite the men to her home for dinner when they were employed at the cemetery. Early minutes of the organization have been lost, but some minutes still exist from 1882.
