Oak Hill Cemetery is located on the SW 1/4 of Section 27 in Pleasant Township of Union County. In 1850, Benjaman Lamb settled with his family along the Grand River. Over the next few years others joined them building up a settlement along the Grand River and Twelve Mile Creek. Upon the first death of the community, Mrs Isaac Lamb in 1854, it became necessary to develop a cemetery.  Benjaman Lamb and G. P. Scott gave and deeded the ground for Oak Hill Cemetery and a church site to Pleasant Township,
